Pop Democracy
I must admit that I'm afraid.
Of the choices that you've made.
We are children of the last decade's
Material pop-parade.

In a world now smarter and getting larger
Confused by everything.
We are getting closer
To being farther
From the reasons we were made.

I am the way, the truth, and the life
Said the general to his men
They all walked into the battle
They were proud soliders, never seen again.

And the way it was before
We would never see the war
But now there's a plastic figure,
A model liar, standing at your door.

Place your ballots and pick your prizes
Social orders at discount prices
If it's on the menu, it isn't free
What's the price of your democracy?

If it ever happens that your changes come
And the change was what you wanted
Did you face your brothers
Did you look upon them?
Did you tell your children lies?

In a world now smarter and getting larger
Confused by everything.
We are getting closer
To being farther
From the reasons we were made.
